Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a division of computer science that aims to provide “intelligence to machines”. Initially, the term “Artificial Intelligence” (AI) was practiced by John McCarthy, who used it to indicate ‘the skill and technology of creating intellectual machines’. The term “AI” can also be used for the aptitude or intelligence as exhibited by a non-natural, synthetic, simulated or an artificial body or unit.
About the importance of AI in everyday life, Allen Newell, a researcher in computer science and cognitive psychology at the RAND Corporation and at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science, wrote, “Exactly what the computer provides is the ability not to be rigid and unthinking but, rather, to behave conditionally. That is what it means to apply knowledge to action: It means to let the action taken reflect knowledge of the situation, to be sometimes this way, sometimes that, as appropriate...”
AI is used in many other branches, such as aviation industry and military services, aeronautics, robotics computer gaming, etc.; it is applied to create strategy games like computer chess and other video games. However, the most realistic ai application is in creating simulators, the programs or systems that simulate an environment for the purpose of training or research.
